Good afternoon, James. Or should I say good evening; I’m momentarily on the west coast, making final plains for my returt there in March, to begin classes in real estate. This potentially could put me on the road, also, to eventual house ownership via investor/rehabber project, and/or general commissions. I have a friend or two helping me along the way of finding a private home owner offering a shared rental arrangement, and I appreciate all the input I can get, since the distance involved would require an intermediary to keep me reasonably assured of a place still being available upon my return. It will be good to see a real springtime again, rather than desert dust, and this prodical returns with enthusiasm to say the least. i was back awhile this past Christmas, but was unable to secure a rental at that point, inasmuch as I secured a near future position with a store chain in the area, which recognized me as one of their best customers in earlier times, so that, at least, was a pleasant welcome back! Again, inasmuch as it’s not your main expertise, I am seeking all the advice and guidance I can get on a shared house rental in the area, in perhaps the $500-700 a month range, with the usual furnished bedroom and general house privleges. I am a native of New Providence , though Maplewood’s increasingly gay-friendly climate, is a definite possibility.

We own a home in Morris Plains, N.J. and are looking for a gay renter….who is very clean and neat. We have a beautiful, private home with lots of space, nice size backyard…and hot tub. They would have their own room, bathroom and access to the kitchen…etc. We do have 2 beautiful and well behaved Labs ( a chocolate…named Sophie and a yellow…named Sammie) that roam the house. We are asking $800. a month…and would have to meet the renter first…and are asking for references. Like I said before….we are extremely NEAT people and will only rent to someone who will respect our home!!
