www.cornerstonehomeinspections.netHave you ever checked out a date before you went out with someone?   Or asked your friends or co-workers about that someone you are interested in?   Many of us have done that so we don’t walk into a bad situation or drama.   People spend more time checking out dates, clothes, jeans, a car or other purchases.  But how much time does one spend checking out a house when they go to buy one?  Buyers often purchase a home with emotions (heart) and rose-colored glasses because it’s pretty to them.  Law and most mortgage companies do not require home Inspections or banks do not require them.  But a house is a major investment.  It is unlike buying a pair of jeans or widget.   A typical average cost of home inspection ranges from $425-600 depending on the size, number of rooms, number of HVAC units among other features.  A home inspection is for the Buyers benefit and companies vary in experience and prices.  A cheap inspection is unfortunately in most cases just that- you get what you pay for!  When shopping around for a qualified home inspector, approach it as if it were a date- ask questions.  What is their background, experience and knowledge and are they NJ licensed?   A house purchase without a proper home inspection could be your biggest nightmare. The worst date ever would pale in comparison.  Check out your house thoroughly and avoid costly mistakes.  Major concerns found during a home inspection can be properly dealt with prior to the closing.  If you are thinking of buying a home in New Jersey, GET AN INSPECTION.  Cornerstone is very LBGTI friendly and we have personality!_________________________________________________________________________________Bio-Background- Linda Geczi (c 732-690-4990)- Graduate of Rutgers the State University of New Jersey with an MS in engineering and over 20 years experience in process, materials, and electrical engineering.  Work experience includes house renovations including plumbing, heating, electrical and structural systems.  Linda is a Licensed New Jersey Home Inspector. Other certifications included:  Radon Measurement Technician, New Jersey DEP certified wood destroying insect inspections, and mold testing certification.  Member of NJ-ALPHI (New Jersey Association of Licensed Professional Home Inspectors).  Educational committee for NJ-ALPHI.  Cornerstone affiliated since July, 2004.

The home inspection is so important. It is so easy to fall in love with a new home. You must use your head when purchasing a new home. A home inspection is similar to seeing your family doctor. Its an overall check-up for your house, you will find out the life expectancy of your appliances. roof, HVAC etc.. This information is priceless when negotiating the price of your new home.

I am glad to read your post about home inspection and I agree that home inspection is as essential as the other important works .But I am unable to understand why people neglect this important thing ,they shouldn’t do this .
