The only problem with NJ is the taxes are so high. I have a home in DE and one in FL of equal values but the FL home is 8x the cost in taxes (forget homeowners insurance) and NJ is even higher than FL in taxes. We have tons of former NJ residents moving into the Rehoboth area because of the tax structure there.

Thank you for the comment Rehoboth REALTOR. I agree with you, though Morris & Union counties in Norther New Jersey are much more reasonable with their property taxes than Essex County. We are seeing more people who are putting commuting time, the ability to walk to public transportation, and quality of public schools well ahead of Property taxes since gas prices have been so high for so long. I think that this trend will continue as fuel prices seem like they will be this high or higher into the future. Best of luck down at the beach and stay in touch.
